IDOLMANIA: A Weekend Filled with Idol-Themed Events
For me, this past weekend might as well have been called IDOLMANIA nights one and two because a certain theme is present throughout the major events of these past two days: Idols.
From reboots to graduations, let's take a look at the happenigs that took place over the past Saturday and Sunday.
Starting with the largest event out of all four idol-themed happenings, P-Pop idol group MNL48 launched its "Reboot and Rise" with a bang.

The P-Pop and Philippine J-idol culture pioneers recently announced to the world and their MNLoves that they're back to take the spotlight by staging an event/concert at SM North Edsa on Saturday, April 26. Not only this signified the return of MNL48 into the P-Pop stage, it also brought back Japanese idol culture, and its fans here in the Philippines, to show the rest of the country that there's a large market for this type of entertainment.
From revivals, we then go to SM Mall of Asia to say goodbye to Hololive Vtuber Nanashi Mumei. What would be a better send off to Hololive Promise's "Guardian of Civilization" than to display messages from "Hoomans" at the MOA Globe?
That's the goal of "Moomin' Worldwide", a digital billboard celebrating the life and times of Hololive's Nanashi Mumei.

Moomin' Manila, the organizers of this campaign, has achieved quite an impossible feat: unite VTuber fans around the world to say goodbye to Mumei by sending artwork of the bird VTuber to be shown in public via a billboard.
Minutes away from "Reboot and Rise" and half an hour away from "Moomin' Worldwide", Victory Mall in Monumento, Caloocan hosted "Cosplay Unity: IDOL FAIR." As the name suggests, this is an event where all indie idols and idol groups unite to give a concert of a lifetime.

Most, if not all, the performers at Cosplay Unity: IDOL FAIR |
From groups like W-Uni and DNE to soloits like Chaeri Ichigo, Cosplay Fair: IDOL UNITY has something for every idol fan. If one event had one group performing their comeback stage, this one had mutiple groups giving their audiences a taste of what's to come from Anisama World.
Last, but not the least, we have Ozine's Idol Fest.
An annual event that started after the end of the pandemic, Ozine Idol Fest is on it second year. Some of the people you saw on Cosplay Unity also show up on Ozine Idol Fest. You also get a mini-convention along with it.

Perhaps, the stars aligned and gave idol culture fans a weekend they'll never imagine would happen in their lifetime. Not only do you see one, two, or three, but FOUR idol themed events. All happening at the same time.
What events did you attend and which one did you like the most? You can post it in the comments section here.
