Cosplayer Profiles: YINN MASTUR - YINDERE

Let's introduce another cosplayer here in COSPLAYER PROFILES, YINN MASTUR or YINDERE.  According to her, she is cosplaying for herself and for kids. "I wanted the show the kids how magical the world is with cosplay. I am really excited to see their "amazed" faces. On how they compliment how your hair looks like, how they call you a fairy or a princess and etc."

Cosplaying helps her to express herself and be herself. "It helps me not to be afraid to be different. I just have to surround myself with the right people to appreciate my craft," she added.

Introducing YINN MASTUR

When did you start cosplaying and what inspired you to cosplay?

I started cosplaying in 2012. My friends who genuinely support me for what I love. I love you people for staying my side. 

What characters have you cosplayed? 

Mostly from game characters like Elementalist Lux ( Dark Element ), Star Guardian Soraka, Ningguang and etc.

What is your best experience in cosplaying?

There was an event called "Anigaiden" in Albay. It was the best and most memorable experience in cosplaying for me. I was only a small cosplayer in Naga, Cam. Sur and that was the first time I had a large audience who admired me as a cosplayer and as a person. They supported me throughout the event. My hard work, effort, and enthusiasm for cosplaying were acknowledged. I got lots of compliments both from photogs and attendees which I rarely get during cosplay events. That event boosted my self-confidence that I always do well in cosplaying and I have realized that I do not have to try hard and be extra to get noticed. All I have to do is to be me and portray a character I really want. I was cosplaying Star Guardian Soraka from League of Legends at that time. (⁠*⁠˘⁠︶⁠˘⁠*⁠)⁠.⁠｡⁠*⁠♡

Any future plans or dreams?

I hope to attend future conventions abroad while cosplaying my dream cosplay. 

What is your message to other cosplayers?

Hi hewwow, my dear aspiring cosplayers and co-cosplayers, I really hope you find fun in cosplaying not just for fame and not wanting an everyday validation. It will cause you burn out with your hobbies. Also, It doesn't matter if you wear the same outfit / costume in different cosplay events. Please be reminded that you do not have to have new costumes everyday. Do that on your own pace, you'll get there istg. Sending you lots of headpats and support mwa (⁠◍⁠•⁠ᴗ⁠•⁠◍⁠)⁠✧⁠*⁠。
