Three New Sumeru Characters, Scaramouche, Venti and Albedo Rerun on Genshin Impact Version 3.1
HoYoverse revealed more information about Genshin Impact's Version 3.1 update, "King Deshret and the Three Magi," which will be released on September 28. The Nation of Wisdom will soon introduce a vast desert area, and the adventures and stories from Sumeru will continue here. Nilou, Cyno, and Candace, three local characters, will also become playable! Meanwhile, in the clear autumn skies of Mondstadt, Weinlesefest is ready to treat players to more stories, events, mini-games, and rich rewards.
Genshin Impact Ver 3.1 Update Highlights
In contrast to the tropical rainforest, the harsh desert of Sumeru has a stark, dangerous beauty. The majestic Mausoleum of King Deshret and dungeons full of puzzles, mechanisms, and robotic guardians powered by ancient technologies of the perished god and his ancient civilization stand in the heart of the desert. The desert also contains Aaru Village, the desert people's largest settlement and a safe haven for exiled scholars, and a wealth of information. Sumeru's Archon Quest continues to unfold as players explore the desert area, with new factions appearing, including two Fatui Harbingers, Il Dottore, and Scaramouche.

Meanwhile, three Sumeru characters will be available for players to recruit as trustworthy allies in their teams:
- Nilou will be a five-star Hydro playable character who combines elegant dance moves with swordsmanship.
- General Mahamatra Cyno is also ready for battle as a five-star Electro polearm wielder. He also enjoys Genius Invokation, a brand-new Trading Card Game that will be included in Version 3.3!
- Candace, a half-blood descendant of King Deshret, will make her debut as the Desertfolk and Aaru Village's guardian. She will be available as a four-star character, wielding her Hydro Vision and a polearm.

Cyno and Venti will be rerun in the first half of Version 3.1, while Nilou and Albedo will be rerun in the second half.
More Challenges and Features
Version 3.1 also includes new challenges and rewards. The "Wind Chaser" event will test participants' ability to manage wind energy in a specific Domain. In another event, "Star-Sojourn," Seeker's you will assist a young girl in fulfilling her wish to find the Future Stars. Finally, completing Floor 4, Chamber 3 will reward you with the opportunity to recruit Collei for free in the Spiral Abyss. The daily login event has also returned, with up to Intertwined Fate 10 and other items to be claimed. You will receive 1,600 Primogems, 4 Fragile Resin, and two unique gadgets, "Jumpy Dumpty Party Popper" and "Cloud Retainer's Damasked Device," via in-game mail.
Version 3.1 will include a few new features to improve the player experience, such as dynamic terrain deformation, a solution to better simulate realistic sand trails. Meanwhile, more DualSenseController support will be added to allow vibration feedback when characters cast Elemental Burst.
