COSPLAYER PROFILES: SACHI LIWAG
Christian James Liwag aka SACHI LIWAG started cosplay in 2011 when he competed in a small local cosplay competition in Pampanga.
Seeing conventions filled with colorful cosplayers inspired me to join in the community and up until then, , looking at Idols such as Alodia, Danquish, Carlos Blanchard, Yaya Han and more started my drive to cosplay more conventions after conventions.

Why do you cosplay?
To express my creative ideals of any character and to experience the atmosphere of a cosplay environment while meeting other people who take the mantle of their favorite characters. It is to temporarily transport myself into that imaginative free world to become someone else.
What or who inspired you to cosplay?
My top inspiration is also my Father who tirelessly works on my props every time we go to contests and really nailing it!

What is your best experience in cosplaying?
My best experience is to be with friends that are also cosplaying and supporting one another in contests or just having fun at the convention. The memories we all share are always the ones that are just us dancing or doing silly things at events and that beats more than winning at any contests.
My dream is to atleast be known or contribute something in this community. It's fun to know more people and to engage to many events with people who knows who you are and what you do.
What is your message to other cosplayers?
My message is to always be confident no matter what color, size or shape you are or what you're portraying. Keep your foot on the ground and just have fun with your friends in the community because cosplaying is more exciting and fun when you're with the right people! Also support local cosplay crafters!
