GMA 7 to Make Voltes V Philippine Version?

Reports are circulating that GMA 7 is planning to create a Philippine version of Voltes V. I know we all love that famous anime robot series and we love the story. Would a local version be acceptable to fans? Would it be good considering the recent trend of shows like this on GMA 7?

According to the article from Lionheart TV, there is a plan to create a Voltes V Philippine version. This report was based on an article published by Pilipino Star Ngayon.

May plano ang GMA 7 na i-produce ang Philippine version ng Voltes V, ang sikat na Japanese anime television series noong 1977. Ang balita na isa si Ruru Madrid sa mga napipisil na magbida sa local version ng Voltes V at si Mark Reyes ang posibleng direktor ng proyekto.

The report also says that Ruru Madrid will portray the lead star of Steve Armstrong and Mark Reyes will be the possible director.

Will Voltes V Philippine Version Be Good?

This is our main concern really. Will the local version be good and worth watching considering how shows like Victor Magtanggol and even Zaido turns out. Well, if there is any consolation, I love the "Lupin" adaptation with Richard Gutierrez and Janno Gibbs.

What do you think should GMA do it or should they just let it be?
