Isao Takahata, One of the Studio Ghibli co-founder passes away

Anime veteran leaves behind a legacy of more than 50 years of landmark anime including Ghibli’s Grave of the Fireflies, Pom Poko, and The Tale of the Princess Kaguya.
Many people would say that 82 years isn't a massively short life. But then, as it were, it feels like athe time to say farewell to anime director and Studio Ghibli co-founder Isao Takahata has come has come far too soon.
Mr. Takahata has carried on with an existence bringing happiness to numerous through his excellent directingas the co-founder of Studio Ghibli. Isao Takahata's career initially started when he originally for animated Toei Douga in 1959 after graduating from the University of Tokyo. 26 years, Mr. Takahata and his long-lasting friend/collaborator, Hayao Miyazaki, established Studio Ghibli. From that point, the studio, alongside Isao Takahata, has brought us numerous perfect works of art that will be prized for quite a long time to come.

Mr. Takahata’s most famous pieces of work are Heidi, Girl of the Alps (1974), Grave of the Fireflies (1988), Pom Poko (1994), and The Tale of Princess Kaguya (2013). Through Mr. Takahata’s work, his legacy as a legendary director and producer will live on forever.
In spite of the fact that his passing might be sad, we should not forget that he has brought happiness to so many through his wonderful works. For that, may you rest in peace, Mr. Takahata. You will be remembered fondly, yet you will never be forgotten.
