Background of Project X - The Search for the New Pinoy Superheroes

DV Tech Media group in partnership with ComiCon Asia 2018, launches a search that challenges people to figure our their own recipe for the next generation Pinoy superhero and bring it to life through the power of imaginative story telling.

"We believe that Filipinos have the talent to become creators. More than what the Pinoy Superhero wears or the powers he or she has, what we're after is an entry with a well thought of character and story. The search is about finding the next generation Pinoy superheroes - original character ideas that stand our unique Filipino values and culture, with a moving story that can gain both local and global interest," shares Richard Estuesta, President, DV Tech Media Group.

Prizes for the Winners of Project X - The Search for the New Pinoy Superheroes

The grand prize winner shall receive one hundred fifty thousand Philippine pesos (Php 150,000.00) in cash.

The first-runner-up shall receive fifty thousand Philippine pesos (PhP50,000.00) in cash.

The second runner-up shall receive thirty thousand Philippine pesos (PhP30,000.00) in cash.

The remaining finalists shall receive ten thousand Philippine pesos (PhP10,000.00) in cash.

How to Join Project X - The Search for the New Pinoy Superheroes

Participants are required to e-register at the contest’s official website at pinoysuperheroes.com/register and agree to the contest’s mechanics and terms and conditions. Once this is accomplished, a confirmation email and the contest entry form will be sent to the email account registered by the participant.

There is also NO REGISTRATION FEE. Register now because the deadline of submission of entries is only until May 14, 2018 (Wednesday) not later than 6:00PM Philippine Time. Entries must be submitted in a sealed brown envelope personally or via courier to DV TechMedia Corp office located at Unit 2A, Ave Center Bldg., 1760 Dian St., Brgy. Palanan, Makati City.

To join you need to submit accomplished entry form (and accomplished parental consent form if necessary) in a sealed brown envelope together with the following requirements:

A two (2)-page treatment with a story arc and synopsis of the character/s.
A two (2) to three (3)-minute video trailer showcasing the character/s and a sample of an action sequence. Video content can be, but not limited to animatics, live-action and/or animation.
Sketch of the design concept for the character as a normal citizen (if applicable) and as a superhero with costume/s showing various profiles.
List of names of the talents and crew involved in the pre-production, production proper, and post-production.

Remember that participants must submit the video with a minimum resolution of 720p HD/mp4 video format saved on a DVD- data disc or on a USB flash disk.
