COSPLAY EVENT: Cosplay Fashion @ Sm City Masinag

SM City Masinag and Naruto Cosplayers PH will be having the first ever cosplay competition event at SM City Masinag, Antopolo Rizal on August 13, 2011. The event is entitled COSPLAY FASHION and the venue will be at the event area, SM City Masinag ground floor.

There will be 4 categories which includes Best Anime, Best Male, Best Female and Best Mecha. Check out more details below.

COSPLAY COMPETITION DETAILS:

1. There will be 4 categories: Best Anime Fashion, Male Cosplay Character. Female Cosplay Character and Best Mecha,

• Best in Anime - all anime related characters except those that are in Mecha form
• Best in Male – all Male characters that are found in anime, movies, series etc.
• Best in Female – all Female characters that are found in anime, movies, series, etc.
• Best in Mecha – Characters that portrait robotics and mechanical characters.

2. A maximum of 100 cosplayers will be accepted including those that had pre-registered.
3. There will be a pre-registration of participants.
4. All pre-registered cosplayers are required to confirm at the venue before 1:00pm.
5. Onsite registration will only be allowed if the number of pre-registered cosplayers does not reach 100 or the cosplayer did not register at the venue by 1:00pm.
6. Cosplayers should submit their reference photos and BGM upon registration.
7. Each cosplayer will be given up to 2 minutes to perform.
8. Acceptance is on a FIRST COME-FIRST SERVED basis.

GENERAL RULES:

1. Major prizes will be sponsored by SM Masinag.
2. Dangerous stunts, metal props and other dangerous objects or props will not be allowed.
3. You can cosplay any anime, manga, game or movie character.
4. No member of the staff or organizing committee will be allowed to participate in the cosplay event competition.

JUDGING:

1. Judges will be announced during the event.
2. There will be three (3) judges for the event. The judges will account for 100% of the score.
3. Criteria for judging will be as follows:

• Characterization (cosplayers resemblance to the character he/she is cosplaying in terms of personality and actions) - 30%
• Costume and Accuracy (accuracy of the costume compared to the reference character, costume quality and its visual appeal) - 30%
• Performance (catwalk and performance during the presentation) - 30%
• Audience Appeal (how the character can relate and involve the audience. The overall impact of the cosplayer) - 10%

4. At the end of the catwalk and presentation the score of the judges will be combined to form the final score.
5. The judges decisions are final..
