Cosplay Groups: Bulacan Cosplay Mania (BCM)

Bulacan Cosplay Mania is a group of Cosplayers from the Province of Bulacan, one of the most historic provinces in the Philippines. They are more popularly known as BCM. This is also the group whom I am personally thankful for introducing me to the world of Cosplay and sharing to me the basic of Cosplay and Cosplaying. The group is a closed group composed of a core group which bonds together for cosplay and fun.

I first met BCM through Facebook when I am helping SM Baliwag organize a Cosplay event for their Cyber Geeks event last August. I am glad and happy to have stumbled upon the BCM fan page in Facebook which at that time was about 300-400 fans. Barbie and Dion were very eager to help me with the event and they had exerted great effort to really make it a success.

For the first time in the history of Bulacan and Baliwag it became a big Cosplay event where more than 30 Cosplayers attended. I said it was major since most of the previous Cosplay events I attended were only participated by less than 10 Cosplayers.

It is also the frist time where I decided to Cosplay and I borrowed the costume from Gerald Avendano of My Little Prince Shop which is also an admin of BCM. The character I cosplayed was a character from Lineage II, although personally I don't know the character.

The event became very successful and it was for the first time the coolest cosplay event here in Bulacan. Thanks to the combined effort of Bulacan Cosplay Mania, Baliwag.net and of course SM City Baliwag.

Today, BCM had been a very large page in Facebook. It has now close to 2,000 fans and still growing. BCM had been a very strong cosplay group and will surely continue to be in the years to come.
