ANIMAX ANI-MATE IN FOCUS: Koleen Angela Mercado.  17-year old Koleen started cosplaying during Ozine Fest 2010.  She was inspired to cosplay because anime really got into her heart and whenever that tingling comes into my mind, "OH THIS CHARACTER IS SO AWESOME, IF ONLY I CAN BE HER" feeling then it makes her heart want to cosplay.

Among tha characters that Koleen Mercado had already cosplayed includes the following Miyuki Takara, Eri Sawachika, Archbishop From R.O, White Fairy, Erio Touwa, Alice, Luka Megurine (Kimono Version), Luka Megurine Just be Friends, Utau Hoshina, and Maid, Tsukasa ( Sweet concert).
Like the other Animax Ani-mate finalists we also ask her our key questions for you to know Koleen better:
WHY DO YOU COSPLAY? 

Do you know that Otaku feeling when you want to be an anime? Like wanting to live in the anime world? Well, I cosplay because i want that to happen. When I cosplay, I see that i can fulfill my desire in wanting to be a character that is not real. Making the character in real life. Being in a costume and acting like you are the character is the best feeling I have when i cosplay. So i just can't stop doing it, and it became my hobby.

WHAT IS YOUR BEST EXPERIENCE IN COSPLAYING?

Well, I won the People's Choice in Cosmania Pampanga Leg' 2010, I also became the top 7 Finalist in Animate Search. But the best is that having cosplay friends and spending time with them enjoying your common hobbies together. :)

WHAT IS YOUR MESSAGE TO OTHER COSPLAYERS?

Haroo~ Een desu~ Yoroshiku Onegaishimasu...  etou.. I hope i can be your friend and we can enjoy cosplaying together!

Besides cosplaying, Koleen also has an online shop at https://www.facebook.com/pandaonlineshoppe.  And what do you know her dream is to become a CPA or Certified Public Accountant, a fellow Accountancy here.  Besides that she want to be a Top Model and a musician as well.
